Additional usage remains "Not enabled" no matter what I do. It was working anyway, until it wasn't... or is it? #199112

I see the same. Within our Organization have a limit set on All AI Credit SKUs, and another on Copilot. I'm not sure whether one or other is required so enabled both. We are also on a Github Copilot Business license. Under Settings > Billing > AI usage, the "Additional usage" section shows "Not enabled" on our account too. We've just hit 90% of the credit allowance that is included in the Business subscription. I'm not sure whether usage will be blocked but we will find out soon. |

I thought I had an issue with additional usage, but maybe I don't? And that's the issue.
tl;dr My GH account says I have additional usage disabled. I don't, and it worked earlier this month. Then it stopped for unknown reasons. Something I did today seems like it's back to working, but GH still (incorrectly) shows additional usage is not enabled.
My account:
Under Settings > Billing > AI usage, the "Additional usage" section shows "Not enabled". Nothing I've tried has fixed this.
In spite of that, additional usage was working earlier this month and reflected in my budgets. Though weirdly, it hit both budgets with different amounts, but the math didn't seem to be mathing. Importantly, neither of the budgets were even close to the limit. Even if they were, I have stop usage off for all copilot/ai budgets.
One of the two budgets was showing "over budget" when I looked today. Though even stranger, it showed the full budget amount now instead of the previously displayed weird split amount. The second budget still shows with its previous amount. Again... the math wasn't mathing.
On a whim, I deleted the over limit budget and created a new one. It now shows $0, which kinda makes sense... though without any period info related to the budget displayed, what is this spend metric actually telling me?
As I wrote this, I opened vscode up and it's finally no longer telling me to contact my admin to enable additional usage. So apparently something I did today or over the last few days fixed it. Or it fixed itself. However, GH is still telling me additional usage is not enabled. Fun times.
If you listen closely, you can already hear the class action lawyers circling over all this.
