GitHub Education verification issue: Official name is "Sourav S" but billing does not allow a one-character surname

Hi everyone,

Hello,

I am applying for GitHub Education using the account @alchemist-sourav.

My official name in all academic and government records is "Sourav S". My student ID card, college records, and government documents use this exact format.

GitHub Education asked me to make my GitHub billing information match my academic documents exactly. However, GitHub Billing does not allow a one-character last name ("S"), so I cannot enter my official name exactly as it appears on my documents.

Because of this, my application is repeatedly rejected for a name mismatch.

Could someone please advise how I should proceed or help with a manual review? I can provide additional documentation if required.

Additional information:

This is not a feature request. I am currently unable to complete GitHub Education verification because my official legal and academic name is "Sourav S".

My student ID card, academic records, and government documents use "Sourav S", but GitHub Billing requires a longer surname and does not allow "S" as the last name.

Could a GitHub Education team member advise how students with a one-character surname/initial should complete verification?
