BUG : Unable to resolve chat model with CAPI family selection: gpt-4o-mini

Is anyone else experiencing this today, or is it just me?

Since today, Agent Mode in VS Code has stopped working for me.

I'm using custom models (not GitHub Copilot models). Whenever I switch to Agent Mode, I get the following error:

Unable to resolve chat model with CAPI family selection: gpt-4o-mini

What's strange is that Ask Mode still works normally with the exact same model configuration, and responses are generated without any issues.

Things I've checked:

VS Code is updated
Custom model configuration hasn't changed
Ask Mode works
Only Agent Mode is affected

Has anyone run into the same issue recently? Is this a VS Code/Copilot update problem, or has something changed with Agent Mode model resolution?

did you signout from vscode? i have the same issue cause i use custom models and when i disconnected, i still list my custom model, but as soon as I try to start a chat, i have the same issue as you.
