On the GitHub web homepage, clicking the search bar in the top navigation ("Type to search /") causes the Dashboard section in the left sidebar to disappear at the same time. After refreshing the page, both the search bar and Dashboard reappear, but the issue reproduces immediately upon clicking the search bar again.
Browser: Microsoft Edge (latest version)
OS: Windows
No new extensions installed
Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R) and clearing cache did not resolve the issue
The / keyboard shortcut triggers the same problem
Steps to reproduce:
Open github.com and log in
Click the search bar in the top navigation
The Dashboard area in the left sidebar disappears together with the search bar
