Copilot in GitHub
Body
I am an enterprise GitHub Copilot user. I understand that GitHub now supports admin-managed user-level budgets for organizations and enterprises, but I want visibility and control at the individual user level.
Today, I may not know in real time how many AI Credits I have consumed, which model or workflow is driving the cost, or whether I am approaching a limit until an admin intervenes or my usage is blocked.
What would you like GitHub to add?
Please provide every enterprise Copilot user with a personal AI Credit usage experience, including:
Why is this important?
This is not just an admin governance need. Individual developers also need personal agency.
If Copilot is moving to usage-based billing, users should be able to manage their own consumption responsibly before an admin blocks them or flags their usage. This would help developers choose the right model for the right task, avoid surprise limits, and build trust in enterprise Copilot adoption.
Who would benefit?
Enterprise Copilot users, engineering managers, platform teams, and administrators who want responsible AI adoption without relying only on centralized after-the-fact cost governance.
