Hi everyone,

I recently applied for the fifth time after being rejected due to not verifying my school email (student). The problem is, that my school does't provide anybody with emails, because all communication is done through "Vulcan" system (Poland). I wrote this in student and teacher email text field. I also attached a clear photo of my paper school id in the application. I provided all the required information about my school (name, website, addres). Even though I did all of that, I still got rejected five times. What should I do to get accepted?

If your school does not provide student email addresses, that alone should not automatically prevent you from qualifying for GitHub Education. Many schools around the world use alternative systems for communication and student management.

In situations like yours, the verification process usually relies more heavily on other forms of proof of enrollment.

Since you have already provided a photo of your student ID, I would recommend making sure that the document clearly shows:

• Your full name
• The school's name
• A current academic year, expiration date, or other indication that the ID is still valid

If the student ID does not contain enough information to verify current enrollment, consider submitting additional supporting documentation such as:

• An enrollment certificate issued by the school
• A current class schedule
• A transcript
• A document from the school's student portal showing your name and active enrollment status
• Any official document issued by the school during the current academic year

It may also help to include a brief explanation that your school uses the Vulcan system for communication and does not issue student email accounts, so email verification is not available.

Unfortunately, repeated resubmissions with the same documentation often lead to the same outcome. If possible, try providing an additional official enrollment document that was not included in previous applications.

If your school doesn’t provide student email addresses, GitHub Education can still verify your status using other official documents. Since you’ve already submitted your school ID and details, here are a few steps that may help:

1. Make sure the photo of your school ID is clear, unedited, and shows your full name and current enrollment.
2. If your school uses the Vulcan system, include a screenshot of your student portal that shows your name, course, and active enrollment.
3. Attach any additional proof such as a transcript, fee receipt, or enrollment certificate if available.
4. If you continue to be rejected, open a support ticket with GitHub Education and explain that your institution does not issue student emails. They may accept alternative documentation after manual review.

In short: provide the clearest official proof you can (ID, portal screenshot, transcript), and escalate to GitHub Education support if automated verification keeps failing.
