University card didn't approve

Hi everyone,

I try to get github education plan , but sadly it declined my card with this :-
Issues to address:

Please use your device camera to submit academic affiliation documents.

the photo is clear with the name ,academic year ,department id , qr code , my photo and uni head signature
what should i do ?

Here are the most common reasons and what to try:

1. Use your phone's camera directly instead of uploading a scanned image or screenshot. GitHub specifically asks for a camera photo because it helps verify authenticity.

2. Retake the photo:

   • Good lighting (no glare or reflections).
   • Entire card visible (don't crop the edges).
   • Text is sharp and readable.
   • Lay the card on a plain background.

3. Make sure the ID clearly shows:

   • Your full name (matching your GitHub account)
   • University name
   • Current academic year or validity period (if applicable)
   • Student ID number
   • Your photo
   • Any official stamp or signature

4. If the card doesn't show current enrollment, upload an additional document such as:

   • Current semester registration
   • Enrollment certificate
   • Student portal page showing your name and current term
   • Current class schedule with your name

5. Wait a little before resubmitting. Multiple immediate submissions don't usually help.

If your card already contains everything you mentioned (name, department, QR code, signature, photo, etc.) and it was still rejected, the issue is often that GitHub couldn't determine you're currently enrolled from the image.

If you can upload the front and back of your university ID (feel free to blur your student ID number if you want), I can tell you what might be causing the rejection before you submit again.

GitHub Education has gotten much stricter about security to prevent fraud. It also favors a live photo taken directly with your device's camera. So, try completing the application on your smartphone or tablet. Turn off any VPNs or proxies. If possible, apply while connected to your school’s official Wi-Fi network (mobile data works best).
