Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my GitHub Education application.

My application is being automatically rejected within seconds of submitting it, without any manual review.

Here are the details:

My GitHub account name matches the name on my verification ID.
I have enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) on my GitHub account.
I have submitted a valid student ID document.
The rejection happens almost immediately after I apply.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue.

If it is being rejected within seconds, it is probably failing an automated check before it reaches manual review.

A few things I would check before applying again:

• Make sure you are using the device camera inside the GitHub Education flow, not uploading an old/saved image.
• Turn off VPN, proxy, ad blockers, or anything that may affect location/device verification.
• Allow location and camera permissions in the browser.
• Make sure your GitHub profile name matches the document as closely as possible.
• Use a document that clearly shows your full name, school name, and current enrollment or valid academic term.
• If your student ID does not show a date/validity period, try using an enrollment certificate or official letter instead.
• Try from a mobile browser or another browser/device if the same device keeps failing instantly.

Also, avoid submitting many times in a row with the same document, because repeated automatic rejections may not help.
