Hi everyone,

Hi,

App keeps on getting Rejected. Fixed the issue of keeping same Profile name as of Actual name. But still app got rejected and this time with weird message "We were unfortunately not able to verify your academic status. Please address the following issues and apply again.". How I am suppose to resolve this. Sharing snippet of error message as well. Can someone pls suggest how to move forward here.

absolutely pathetic, frustrating experience. Kudos to team who has designed such a pathetic workflow and no support, no way to contact anyone, no mail ID. Amazing job guys

Need to have Quantum computer to decode this brilliant error message.

You're not the only one. I've seen several people recently report the same "We were unfortunately not able to verify your academic status" message even after fixing other issues, so it may not be something specific to your application.

Is your GitHub account recently created? There have also been multiple rapid submission attempts. GitHub's automated system flags this as a potential risk when it's also struggling to verify your document. So, Before your next attempt, double-check your billing profile details, ensure your document clearly shows your matching name and current academic enrollment, and then reapply after a brief break.

I'd still recommend opening a GitHub Education support ticket instead of repeatedly resubmitting the application. Ask them what specific verification failed (institution, enrollment status, or submitted documents), since the rejection message is too generic to troubleshoot on your own.
