Hi @rebekalegend-collab , This community is managed by GitHub employees, but it is not a support forum. The only place to go for answers to account-specific questions like this one is opening a ticket on our Support page. This is a public forum, and the community is unable to assist with nor escalate your ticket, but we can assure you it is in the right place. There are an extremely high volume of Support tickets right now, yours will be answered in the order it was received based on the amount of tickets ahead of yours. Please open only one ticket per request. As no other Community Discussions team members will be able to provide additional help with account related questions I am going to close this discussion. We appreciate your understanding and patience while Support works through your request! |

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone has experienced something similar or knows if there is any way to recover my repositories.
One day I logged into GitHub the same way I always do (using Google Sign-In), but instead of my normal account, GitHub created or logged me into a completely new, empty account.
My original username was:
rebekalegend-debug
https://github.com/rebekalegend-debug/
Now I'm logged into a brand-new, clean GitHub account with no repositories, no history, nothing.
What happened
I always logged in using Google.
One day I suddenly ended up in a completely new GitHub account.
I also tried logging in with my email address, but that didn't help.
I never received any email from GitHub saying my account was deleted, suspended, or that anything had changed.
There was no warning at all.
My project
The repository contained:
A Discord bot.
A web application hosted on Vercel.
Connected services including:
Vercel
Railway
Supabase
The project had been running without problems for about 6 months. Its a private discord bot for a game, rok, thats sends reminders, etc, nothing special, the app also help leaders in game manage players ,track stats etc, like rokstats, etc, nothing illegal or copyrighted thing! all runing on a private discord!
I needed to conect again this new github to supabase, everythig on supabase is working since recognized my email, but vercel and raiway cant make new deployments without my code
!
I had invested a lot of time and money into developing it.
My backups
Unfortunately, I have no backup.
After getting a new drive and reinstalling Windows, I logged into GitHub and discovered my account was gone.
What I've tried

Logging in with Google (my usual method).
Logging in with email.
Contacting GitHub Support (it's been weeks without a response).
Recovering files from Railway (their support thankfully helped me recover my Discord bot files).
Trying to recover files from Vercel. I managed to obtain only a few generated/build files, but not the original source code.
Additional information
Before discovering the issue, I started receiving error emails from Railway and Vercel because GitHub was no longer connected to those services.
That's how I realized something was wrong.
Again, I never received any notification from GitHub that my account had changed or disappeared.
Does anyone know if there is any way to:
Recover the original GitHub account?
Recover the deleted or inaccessible repository?
Contact GitHub through another support channel?
Verify whether my account still exists under another login or identity?
Recover repository data if GitHub Support isn't responding?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This project represents months of work, and without it I've essentially lost everything.
Thank you.
