Brand new to GitHub
And where are you going next on GitHub?
my 1st aim is to solve my problem, then with passage of time I like to be part of it
What technical skills or projects are you working on?
i am working on macroscopic modeling of traffic with weather.
Got a question for us? (optional)
Subject: Issue with QAequilibraE plugin – unable to create new project
Dear QAequilibraE support team,
I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue with the QAequilibraE plugin in QGIS. I am attempting to use the plugin to create a new project for corridor‑level transport modelling, but the process fails at the first attempt.
My setup is as follows:
QGIS version: [insert version, e.g. 3.4.66 Solothrurn]
Operating system: [insert OS, e.g. Windows 10 / Ubuntu 22.04]
QAequilibraE plugin version: [insert version from Plugins > Installed]
The plugin installs successfully and appears in the QGIS interface, but when I select QAequilibraE → Create New Project and specify a project folder and CRS, the following problem occurs:
[describe the exact behaviour, e.g. “QGIS shows an error message ‘Couldn’t load plugin qaequilibrae due to an error calling classFactory() method’” or “no project folder or database is created, and no error is displayed in the log”].
I have already tried the following steps:
Confirmed installation of missing Python packages when prompted by QGIS.
Restarted QGIS after installation.
Verified that QAequilibraE appears as an active plugin under Plugins → Manage and Install Plugins → Installed.
Checked the QGIS Python error log (View → Panels → Log Messages), where I see the following message:
“[paste any error text here, e.g. ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'aequilibrae.project' or ImportError related to numpy].”
Despite these steps, I am still unable to create a new QAequilibraE project from layers or from an empty template.
Could you please advise on:
Whether this error is related to the current QAequilibraE release or a known compatibility issue with my QGIS version.
Any additional installation or configuration steps (e.g. manual installation of Python dependencies, specific environment settings) required to get the “Create New Project” function working.
Any recommended troubleshooting procedure or log files I should provide to help diagnose the problem.
I am using QAequilibraE as part of a PhD study on SDS resilience and Weather‑Responsive Variable Speed Limits on the Haradh–Al Batha corridor, so resolving this issue would be very helpful for progressing with the macroscopic modelling work.
Thank you in advance for your support. I would be happy to share further details or screenshots if needed.
