What Happened

Last night, while I was happily vibe-coding on two of my open-source projects—letting the AI watch the CI pipeline until it went green so I could merge—my GitHub login suddenly became invalid. When I tried to log back in, I found that my GitHub account had been suspended.

What I've Done

1. I opened a ticket from a secondary account: #4539141, which includes my username acking-you and email "Personal info edited by staff"
2. I reached out to @github on X, asking if they could help expedite a review of this ticket—I'd be very grateful.

My Questions

1. I host several very important projects here, some with a fair number of stars. Will the data in these repositories be lost?
2. All of my repositories and my personal profile page return a complete 404. I've seen many similarly suspended accounts on X whose profile pages still load normally—does this mean something is wrong with mine? profile
3. Many of my real business services were registered and are accessed via GitHub login—for example, Neon (a database SaaS) shown in my screenshot below. Changing the login method requires additional verification, but since my GitHub account is now suspended, the situation has become urgent. What can I do next to help speed up the handling of this ticket?

1. Will my repositories be lost?
In most cases, no. A suspended account does not normally mean your repositories are deleted. They are typically made inaccessible until GitHub completes its review or the account is reinstated. GitHub Support is the only team that can confirm the status of a specific account.

2. Why do my profile and repositories return 404?
This is expected behavior for many suspended accounts. GitHub may hide the entire profile and repositories from public view, causing them to return 404 Not Found. The exact visibility can vary depending on the reason for the suspension, so differences between accounts do not necessarily indicate a more serious problem.

3. Can I speed up my support ticket?
Unfortunately, there is no supported way to expedite an account suspension review. Opening multiple tickets or posting in Community Discussions generally will not accelerate the process. The best course of action is to:

Keep all communication within your existing support ticket (#4539141).

• Reply to that ticket only if you have new, relevant information.
• If access to third-party services (such as Neon) is business-critical, explain that impact in the ticket and ask whether temporary recovery options are available.
