Completed tasks shouldn't be removed from a task list automatically. If they're disappearing or becoming unchecked again, it could be a sync issue, an edit to the task list, or the linked issues being reopened. Can you confirm whether these are plain Markdown checkboxes or task list items linked to GitHub issues? That would help narrow it down. |

I've used task lists for years on GitHub. I'll do something like this:
And that has worked fine. However, recently I was assigned 120 issues which I put into a task list in an issue in my repo. Last Friday I checked about 20 of them as being completed. Today, when I opened that issue, I found that none of those tasks still are marked. What happened to them? I thought that maybe they would disappear off the task lists, but then I saw some that I know I had marked as completed, but they are now no longer marked as completed. So, what's going on?
