This seems to be a limitation of the billing form rather than your documents. If your official academic records use a single-letter initial, try submitting an additional document (such as a bonafide certificate or enrollment letter) that explains your institution's naming format. Otherwise, you may need to wait for GitHub to support this case, since the current form doesn't appear to allow one-character surnames. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hello GitHub Education Team,
I am applying for the GitHub Student Developer Pack. My official academic name is R Kaavya, and my university records use an initial rather than an expanded surname.
The GitHub billing form requires a last name longer than one character, so it does not allow me to enter my official name exactly as it appears on my academic documents. As a result, I am unable to satisfy the verification requirement.
Could you please advise how I should complete the billing information, or manually review my application?
Thank you for your assistance.
