Repository commits not showing up on my profile

I have a private repository. I have been committing to it a lot in the past months, yet none of these contributions show up on my profile page. I have private contributions turned on for my profile but it still doesn't show up. I used a different email than my primary email listed on GitHub to commit but I added the email onto GitHub a few days ago, yet nothing has updated either.
