I found some interesting home automation appliances.
They are rather new and my guess is that in the future more products will become available.

I bought the "Shelly plug/s".
It is very easy to integrate via MQTT.

Interesting! Also the price is reasonable. MQTT integration is becoming more and more popular, you're right. My favorite so far is still https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/ since can integrate with devices with many many brands. I have a good number of xiaomi zigbee-based devices whose price is really low, quality is high and works great.
