Incoherent multi-currency balances

I have a Wise account for which I had created an asset account for each currency as advised in the F3 documentation. When funding USD in Wise from my GBP current account, I would create a GBP to USD transfer from the "GBP current account" to "Wise USD" in F3. This worked fine as each asset account was only showing the balance in its main currency (e.g. converting £100 to $150 means that "GBP current account": £100 and "Wise USD": $0 becomes "GBP current account": £0 and "Wise USD": +$150).

However, it seems that a recent multi-currency update in F3 has upended this setup. My current account is now showing a large negative balance in USD and a much larger balance in GBP (e.g. "GBP current account": +£100 -$150 and "Wise USD": +$150). It seems that now instead of reducing my GBP balance in my "GBP current account", currency conversion transfers to "Wise USD" leave my GBP balance unchanged and instead reduce a fictitious USD balance on my "GBP current account". Obviously, a GBP current account shouldn't have any USD balance.

Is there a way to have the correct multi-currency behaviour and balances?

Did you turn on the multi-currency options? I'd have to check the calculations.

I have multiple currencies enabled in the settings page. Is that what you mean?

Also, I auto-update so the change is very recent.

Mmmm. Can you see and tell if specific transactions have the wrong amount information, after the upgrade? Are there specific amounts "off" or plain wrong?

OK, it looks like the issue is that the transfers were recorded from the point of view of Wise USD (via data importer), so the domestic currency was USD and the foreign currency GBP. The logic must have changed in recent versions so that domestic currency is now always the currency subtracted from the source account and foreign currency the currency added to the destination account. Swapping the currencies around in the transfers fixes the issue, so it only affects transfers recorded in previous versions.

Alright, that explains something. I know things have changed, but I didn't realize this. Are you using GoCardless?

I don't think GoCardless works with Wise, so I used CSV exports. I must have the "Exchange from" column as foreign currency and the "Exchange to" as domestic currency since it was from Wise USD point of view
