Describe the enhancement

In the Settings > Entities page, add a button to directly open the entity settings dialog.

Use cases

When bulk renaming entities, you currently need to make 4 clicks:

1. Click the entity row to bring up the More information dialog
2. Click the cog button
3. Click the Name input, type the new name
4. Click the Update button

Adding the settings button here would eliminate one click and make editing many entities at once more enjoyable.

I implemented this via a custom frontend module, because the clicking was driving me crazy.

If bulk renaming entities is the main concern, I would suggest supporting this feature request.

Thank you, I renamed them manually, it was only a few tens of entities, so manageable. This issue was more about the unnecessary number of clicks in the frontend to do anything. Everything is an overflow menu, a dialog, a dialog inside a dialog etc. I think we should make the UI more accessible to power users with shortcut buttons like this one, try to remove overflow menus with just a single item and also improve keyboard navigation.

I think it makes sense that when I open the Entities page, I don't want to just look at the entities, but do something useful with them. For looking there are dashboards.
