Describe the integration you'd like

I’d like a fully supported integration of the Octopus Energy API Integration, similar in nature to the third party “ Octops Energy API Integration”

What are your use cases for this integration?

There are a number of use cases but most involve managing Power Consumption, and Power Export from and to my Solar Panels, Batteries and EV. Octopus is also at the forefront of front of free electricity times. As well as high value El;ectricity Export periods. Using a fully functional Home Assitant Integration, it can make the Planet Greener, Energy Cheaper, and extend Battery Life of Home Batteries.

Is there a public API or documentation?

Two API flavours
• A REST API at api.octopus.energy/v1/ (well documented, widely used)
• A GraphQL API at developer.octopus.energy (newer, more powerful)

Anything else?

I am new to Home Assistant 48 Hours old!

I found the supported integrations to be amazingly simple and easy to use (Apart from Home Connect!!!)

Thanks for your prompt and very relevant and usable reply Andrew.I had already installed thus HACS integration. As a retired security CISO I prefer only using Light Side technology. I sense that HACS is the Dark Side Portal!To be clear I am over the moon with my new Nabu Casa and HA! I made 5 separate attempts to run it in a Container in my QNAP including doubling the QNAP memory! The Nabu Casa just works, Home Assistant is not however yet ready for an average home user!Separate QuestionWhere can I properly engage in the design and architecture process of Home assistant. While I have some coding skills I am not up to making code changes. I do however understand the importance of a coherent set of design principles and a robust Architecture.My experience so far is that the UI that controls Dashboard creation has not benefited from either.A very recent proponent and newest mega fan of Hime Assistant!
