Describe the enhancement

I would like the ability to select the last value of an entity within the chosen time period when determining which value to display. This option would be particularly useful for bar charts, where the entity's value is continuously recalculated throughout the displayed time frame.

Use cases

Example: Over the course of a day, the percentage of solar energy used for water heating is continuously calculated. This percentage may rise or fall throughout the day, depending on solar irradiance. For a bar chart, however, only the last value is of interest, as it represents the final percentage for the entire day.
