Hi there!
I opened a PR #3653 with a simple implementation of uncompressed audio in Jamulus.
I haven't tested it very much, except with a single user on a server.I tested it in a session with mixed clients on a rawaudio server. I was using rawaudio while the other clients were on the official releases. Everything worked as expected and it is still possible to switch between audio quality settings without issues.
The client is backwards compatible in a sense that you can connect to stock servers, but do not use this setting on an Opus-only server or it will hurt your ears. There is no issue connecting stock clients to rawaudio servers.
This is just a proof-of-concept but works as far as I can tell. Looking forward to some feedback.
cheers, nils
P.S.:
You can download the experimental builds from the actions section of my fork:

I currently run a "RAWAUDIO-TEST-SERVER" located in Germany on the jazz server list. Feel free to use it for testing and enjoying the new noise-free jamulus experience :)
One more test server in London for you to test: on Any Genre 1 "Andre's HQ Sound"
