v6 → v8 migration: timeline and recommended path in 2026?

Hi team,

We're on Mantine v6 and planning our upgrade. I know v6 is on extended maintenance (no new features, critical fixes only) and v8 is the current major.

A few questions before we commit:

1. Is there a planned end-of-life date for v6 — i.e., a point after which even critical / security fixes will stop? This is the key input for how aggressively we prioritize the migration.

2. For a team migrating today, is going directly to v8 the recommended path, or should we stage v6 → v7 → v8 using the v6→v7 codemod first?

3. Are there any packages or APIs in v8 that are still considered rough / in-flux that we should watch out for?

1. v6 is no longer maintained and was deprecated when the last 6.x release was published.
2. It is recommended to migrate to v9 as it is the latest version
3. There were many changes between v6 -> v9, it's better to review related changelogs and check impacts on your project
