I think I might encountered this using Snapcast and ESPHome media player long time ago (I remember it's because Snapcast's built-in player is not aware of current song position or something) after which I went to LMS for a while. It seems like now we have Sendspin, and it mostly works fine. However the trouble of seeking seems still happening:
When I click on the seekbar when playing, the audio got skipped to the correct (should be) place, but the seekbar bounces to the beginning and the time display also resets to 0:00 and starts running from there (i.e. an offset appeared between the displayed progress and actual audio progress). If I do this multiple times, then I cannot seek anymore and the following error pops out, until the current song is finished normally:
