This mod is absolutely amazing and mindblowing, and I don't even mind not having mouselook, but my biggest gripe is that you can't change the shareware version wad with any other

Theoretically, you can replace the doom1.wad file with any other wad renamed to have that name! I definitely didn't expect anyone to actually play DOOM in-game as more than a brief novelty though lol

Well, practically I tried doing that exact same thing with Doom 1 and 2 wads that I yanked off Doom 3 BFG Edition, and the first game kinda worked, except it still acted like it was a shareware version, but it didn't show the buy info screen and there seemingly were twice as many enemies lol. Doom 2 didn't go beyond the main menu :-(

And yeah, I managed to get through half the game, and when you board your spaceship, you can see the demo play on your journal terminal thingie, it's so cool :3

What specific iteration of Unity Doom did you use? Could you link the github for it? Trying to get different wads functional.

It's been 3 years since I worked on this, but if I remember correctly I just pasted in the Managed Doom source code and modified it to make it compatible with Unity, so it wasn't an existing Unity port.
