If it doesn't show up at all and the hub is powered on, either you have a bad cable or you have a version of Pybricks firmware installed and running that doesn't have USB support. Make sure the Bluetooth light on the hub is blinking red/green/blue to be sure that the hub is in DFU mode. Then look for it in the device manager. It could be in a different place depending on which driver, if any, is installed. |

This is a hard one.
I am trying to install pybricks firmware on my hubs. The very first time I plugged in the Essential Hub (following instructions carefully), there was a system alert/dialogue that appeared in the bottom-right corner of the screen. I didn't see the contents, and it disappeared (I saw the word Lego). But since then, however, the system just ignores the USB device altogether like a ghost device.
Since then, I updated the system, changed the USB cable, and switched to a new Prime hub. Finally, I uninstalled all devices in "other devices" and started over-- same thing.
The Lego device is not showing up on the Device Manager at all. I didn't even have a chance to install the driver. I also clicked "show hidden devices" and couldn't find Lego.
Help please! Anyone solved anything like this before?
