I would definitely not add it to the project template (because usually set at the solution level anyway), and I'm also not so keen on adding it as a project item. So probably I would just document this better in the docs. |

We've recently fixed issues and/or added features that can be influenced by settings in an . editorconfig file. The proposal here is to add one to the Visual Studio template shipped with the extension, either installed by default or made available as an 'Add New Item' template.
