Manual local run into current working copy?

At the moment I'm not looking for a "automagically PR things" tool but would instead want a "detect versions, find updates and modify the files in the current working copy to said new versions". From what I'm seeing most of the pieces are there with updatecli, but can I somehow define a "non-SCM" SCM that just writes out the changes into the working copy I already have?

Of course you can, just don't specify a scmid in your target. For example like here

Worth mentioning that any relative path will be relative from where the cli is executed and not relative to the Updatecli manifest
