AIcove is one window for the things you run on this machine: local AI models and the personas you chat with, your other tools, and your passwords.
To chat: the Chat tab. Pick a persona, write, press Enter. If its model isn't loaded, AIcove loads it first. See the topic Chat. When you are done: Stop everything (top right). Or let AIcove do it: on the Settings tab, Unload after (Models) stops a model that sat unused that many minutes, and Pictures idle (Programs) does the same for the image server. Both load again by themselves when needed. A big model and the image server together can fill the memory of a whole machine, so these are worth setting there.
The tabs: Chat, Agents (who works for you: news, research, your machines), Personas (who you talk and write with, and on which models), Launchers (a model file and how it runs), Writing, then the rest.
Only one model is loaded at a time. Starting another one stops the one that was running.
The pane at the bottom of the window shows what the buttons did. If something doesn't work, the reason is usually written there.
Made from the guide inside AIcove (cove/data/guide.md); it opens with the ? button.
