  1. Open your terminal and run sudo apt-get install git to install git, the version control software used by GitHub.

  2. Click the fork button in the top right of the repo. This** creates a copy ("fork") of the Ozon icon theme** code on your GitHub account. Wait til it's done to move on. screenshot - 131014 - 19 28 35

  3. Open your terminal and run the command git clone https://github.com/$YOURUSERNAME/ozon-icon-theme.git**. This downloads ("clones") your fork of the code to your computer.

  4. Using a file-manager copy the icons you've made into the Ozon/48x48/apps``` directory of your cloned fork.

  5. Open your terminal and use cd $DIRPATH to move to the location of your cloned fork. An example could be cd ~/ozon-icon-theme. Keep this open, and then run the following commands:

i. After git has finished installing, ```git add --all```. This will add all your changes to gits tracking system.

ii. ```git commit -m "Your message here"``` to add a commit message which helps us keep track of what you're changing. Examples would be "New LibreOffice Icons" or "Changed Firefox icon".

iii. ```git push origin master``` which will push your new icons to your fork of the icon theme.

  1. Go back to your copy of the fork on Github

  2. Near the top of the page you'll see a bar that looks like this. screenshot - 131014 - 19 25 13 Click the "pull request button".

  3. This will take you to a page which will summarise the changes you have to make. Click the big shiny "create new pull request" button and your changes will be opened as a pull request screenshot - 131014 - 19 27 17

  4. What happens next depends on our decision.

i. If we accept your changes you'll be notified and they'll be merged in. If you have nothing else you wish to change you can proceed to 10.

ii. If we accept your changes and you have other contributions you wish to make go back to step 3. Only do this if you wish to make the changes now, otherwise see above.

iii. If we decline your request, but give you things to change before we accept them then make your changes and go back to step 4.

iv. If we decline you request, but don't give you things to change then that's end of the line. Go to step 10.
  1. Delete your fork of the theme. Go to the settings of your repo (the spanner at the bottom of the right panel) and delete your fork. If you want to add something else in future go back to step 1. screenshot - 131014 - 19 31 00
