Thank you for noticing. This one is not even in #624.

Currently even pd.Series[float].array gives NumpyExtensionArray instead of FloatingArray.

A historical artifact. FloatingArray was added as experimental in pandas 1.2 . That explains why #624 doesn't have it in the list - that list came from the 2.0 release notes. The initial version of the stubs that were created by Microsoft didn't have it in there, so we never noticed that it was missing.
