closes not necessarily for this PR, but should we add an EA attribute specifying whether copy=False is ignored? that way we could avoid overriding tests? #63040 (Replace xxxx with the GitHub issue number)
Tests added and passed if fixing a bug or adding a new feature

Please let me know if my approach or fix needs any improvements . I’m open to feedback and happy to make changes based on suggestions.
