Connection timeout on port forwarding with Proton VPN

Hi comm,
I'm trying to figure out how to make port forwarding work for me.
I read through the gluetun wiki and also a few guides that I found but the result is always:
ERROR [vpn] starting port forwarding service: port forwarding for the first time: getting external IPv4 address: executing remote procedure call: connection timeout: failed attempts: read udp 172.18.0.2:32798->10.2.0.1:5351: i/o timeout (tries 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

I tried vpn type wireguard and openvpn with the same error.
My configuration:

When creating the wireguard key, I enabled NAT-PMP and explicitely chose a server that has P2P enabled.
I would highly appreciate any help here.

hi, if you check in issues there are a few Proton issues open; i think it is a wider problem so nothing we can except trying to restart until a stable connection is randomly found.
