A Rails engine that enhances Mastodon conversations with custom API endpoints and functionality for the Patchwork social network platform.
The Conversations gem provides a custom Rails engine that extends Mastodon's conversation functionality. It adds specialized API endpoints and features designed for the Patchwork ecosystem, allowing for enhanced conversation management and interaction capabilities.

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem install conversationsAfter installation, the gem automatically mounts its routes into your Rails application. The main API endpoint is available at:
GET/POST /api/v1/patchwork/conversations/check_conversation

This endpoint allows you to check conversations between accounts in the Patchwork network.
The gem includes an initializer template that can be generated:
rails generate conversations:installThis will create a configuration file at config/initializers/conversations.rb where you can customize the gem's behavior.
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
