Overview

Patchwork is the software supporting communities with their own social media infrastructure. It runs alongside a Mastodon server, adding layers for customisation and a dedicated client app.

This page is an index of the relevant source code for each community that has implemented Patchwork. Please see the links below.

Please note that Patchwork requires a Mastodon server to be installed first.

Please note that all apps require gems to be installed on the Mastodon server, as detailed here.

The Bristol Cable app

The Bristol Cable is a locally owned independent news publication in Bristol, UK. The Bristol Cable app was designed by a joint team from Newsmast and the Cable to produce a combined news and social app for paid supporters.
