Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.3
Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.3, a test build. It's a remote for your own Lightning Fork node; your funds stay on the node.
New
- Short-lived SHA256 invoices. Shops often issue invoices that live about a minute. The app now gets a firm price as soon as an invoice is scanned, shows how long the invoice and the price have left, and pays in one tap.
- A new price when it runs out. Pressing pay after the price ran out gets a new one, and pays it at once if it is no higher; otherwise the new price is shown first.
- "Expires too soon" said plainly. An invoice that can't be paid in time says to ask for a new invoice and pay it right away, and the pay button is disabled.
- Activity: a SHA256 invoice payment that was returned no longer reads as paid.
Needs Lightning Fork on your node at StartOS 0.21.4-beta.21:0 or Umbrel 0.21.4-beta-blake2b.21.0, and a bridge service on the same version, to pay short-lived invoices. With earlier versions it works as 0.2.2 did.
Install
Download lightning-fork-0.2.3.apk, SHA256SUMS and SHA256SUMS.asc, then check them:
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.asc SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
Install the APK over 0.2.2; it stays paired.
APK signing certificate SHA-256: ef6d6eca37ced88d8dd36e11b2558ce59bfb386ad0b51e7226370d396304d392 (the same as 0.2.2).

Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.2
Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.2, a test build. It's a remote for your own Lightning Fork node; your funds stay on the node.
New
- Channel resizes in motion. While a channel of your node is being resized, Home shows the funds moving into or out of your channels until the resize counts.
- Pairing says why. A phone removed because the dashboard password changed, or a pairing code voided by it, now says so.
Needs Lightning Fork on your node at StartOS 0.21.4-beta.19:0 or Umbrel 0.21.4-beta-blake2b.19.0 to show resizes. With earlier versions it works as 0.2.1 did.
Install
Download lightning-fork-0.2.2.apk, SHA256SUMS and SHA256SUMS.asc, then check them:
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.asc SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
Install the APK over 0.2.1; it stays paired.
APK signing certificate SHA-256: ef6d6eca37ced88d8dd36e11b2558ce59bfb386ad0b51e7226370d396304d392 (the same as 0.2.1).

Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.1
Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.1, a test build. It's a remote for your own Lightning Fork node; your funds stay on the node.
New
- SHA256 invoices, clearer. Every amount is named by its chain (sats (BTCB2), sats (SHA256)), and "How this works" explains what paying a SHA256 invoice means. When one can't be paid, the app says why and what to do about it.
- "On its way" follows itself up. While the service is still paying, the app checks again on its own; you can leave the screen meanwhile.
- Pay from your own bridge. If your node runs a bridge, SHA256 invoices are paid straight from the bridge's SHA256 node: no fee, nothing spent from your wallet.
- Settings shows the service you pay SHA256 invoices through and its terms, or your own bridge.
- Your language and currency. Numbers are written the way your phone writes them, and estimates are in your phone's currency or one you choose in Settings. All the app's text is ready to be translated.
- An unfinished payment from more than a day ago is no longer sent again when checked.
Needs Lightning Fork on your node at StartOS 0.21.3-beta.17:0 or Umbrel 0.21.3-beta-blake2b.17.0 for everything above. With .15 or .16 it works as 0.2.0 did.
Install
Download lightning-fork-0.2.1.apk, SHA256SUMS and SHA256SUMS.asc, then check them:
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.asc SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
Install the APK over 0.2.0; it stays paired.
APK signing certificate SHA-256: ef6d6eca37ced88d8dd36e11b2558ce59bfb386ad0b51e7226370d396304d392 (the same as 0.2.0).

Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.0
Lightning Fork for Android 0.2.0, a test build. It's a remote for your own Lightning Fork node; your funds stay on the node.
New
-
Pay SHA256 invoices. These are Lightning invoices from the SHA256 chain, paid through a service you set up in the dashboard (menu → Paying SHA256 invoices). Before you pay, the app shows:
- the most the payment can cost, routing included;
- the service's fee;
- how the price compares with the market.
You only pay if the service pays the SHA256 invoice. Your activity shows what was paid and the proof.
-
Settings says whether the app can reach your node away from home, and where to set that up if it can't.
-
The Bitcoin mark matches the dashboard's.
Needs Lightning Fork on your node at StartOS 0.21.3-beta.15:0 or Umbrel 0.21.3-beta-blake2b.15.0 or later. Without those versions, everything else still works, but SHA256 invoices are refused as before.
Install
Download lightning-fork-0.2.0.apk, SHA256SUMS and SHA256SUMS.asc, then check them:
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.asc SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
Install the APK over 0.1.0; it stays paired. If you're installing for the first time, allow installs from your browser or file manager when Android asks.
APK signing certificate SHA-256: ef6d6eca37ced88d8dd36e11b2558ce59bfb386ad0b51e7226370d396304d392 (the same as 0.1.0).
Pair
In the dashboard's menu, choose Mobile app → Pair a phone and scan the code with the app. The Mobile app screen says whether the app can be used away from home and how to set that up:
- On StartOS, Lightning Fork offers a task that adds the onion address.
- On Umbrel, it happens on its own once Tor has published the address.
Not yet
- Lightning addresses and LNURL.
- Managing channels from the phone (use the dashboard).

Lightning Fork for Android 0.1.0 (test build)
First test build of Lightning Fork for Android. It's a remote for your own Lightning Fork node: balances, Send and Receive. Your funds stay on the node; the phone holds only a key you can remove from the dashboard.
Needs Lightning Fork on your node at StartOS 0.21.3-beta.14:1 or Umbrel 0.21.3-beta-blake2b.14.1 or later.
Install
Download lightning-fork-0.1.0.apk, SHA256SUMS and SHA256SUMS.asc, then check them:
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.asc SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
Install the APK (allow installs from your browser or file manager when Android asks).
APK signing certificate SHA-256: ef6d6eca37ced88d8dd36e11b2558ce59bfb386ad0b51e7226370d396304d392
Pair
In the dashboard's menu choose Mobile app → Pair a phone and scan the code with the app.
- StartOS: to use the app away from home, give the Dashboard interface an onion address in StartOS first.
- Umbrel: Tor needs a few minutes after the update to publish the app's onion. Then restart Lightning Fork once from the Umbrel home screen and pair (again).
Not yet
Lightning addresses and LNURL; managing channels from the phone (use the dashboard).
