Witaj / Hello! This is the community space for pit-38 — an open-source tax calculator for Polish investors filing PIT-38 (capital gains from stocks and crypto).

What this space is for

• Tax rule questions (use Q&A) — e.g. "How do I treat a stock split mid-year?", "Does my Revolut export include all dividends?", "What's the difference between art. 30b and art. 30a?"
• Broker support requests (use Broker support) — "Can you add IBKR?", "My broker's CSV format looks like this, can pit-38 handle it?"
• Announcements (maintainer-only) — new releases, tax-law updates, breaking changes

What this space is NOT for

• Bug reports → open an issue
• Tax advice — pit-38 is informational only. Always verify calculations with a qualified tax advisor before filing.
• Personal financial data — never paste real broker exports with account numbers, SSN-like identifiers, or other PII. If you're sharing a CSV snippet, redact personal fields.

Language / Język

Polish and English both welcome. Maintainers will respond in the language you use. Please use Polish tags like [PL] in titles if the content is Polish-only.

Before you post

• Q&A: search existing threads first — someone may have asked the same thing
• Broker support: include broker name, a sanitized CSV snippet (5–10 rows), and whether you're asking about stocks or crypto
• Everyone: read the project disclaimer in README.md
