I'm (DrForr) probably the only one interested in this, but I thought I'd throw out this possibility. I live in Seattle nowadays, but it so happens that Pittsburgh is also a fairly big glassblowing town.

Pittsburgh Glass Center has Blown Glass Terrariums on the 15th at 10am-12am, so if you're flying in early and wondering what to do before your hotel room is ready, this is a good excuse to get your feet wet.

On the 22nd Blown Glass Catch-All Bowls is available along with a number of other courses, though I think most of them are flameworking or slumping.

FYI: If you have 4 people they will hold a private glass for you.

Gallery G Glass also offers intro sessions, probably at the weekend and I'd need a few people to sign up in all probability. Pumpkins are the most involved and most interactive, plus you get a chance to play with molds.

Vessel Studio is another option which we'd have to sign up in advance for.
