The rules for validation are elsewhere. This is the code for validating a document against the rules

py4ami DICT validation

Validation occurs in the DICT module of py4ami

        self.parser.description = 'AMI dictionary creation, validation, editing'

or when installed:

 py4ami DICT --dict ipcc_ar6_wg3_man_dict.xml --validate
