Welcome to the phajy.github.io wiki!

Here's some information about relativistic accretion discs and X-ray data analysis (both spectral and timing). The pages are incomplete so you are encouraged to update them!

Science

An overview of accretion discs around black holes, with links to papers.

An overview of relativistic accretion disc spectral models, with links to papers.

An overview of relativistic accretion disc timing models, including power spectra, reverberation, and time lags, with links to papers.

Links to X-ray data analysis guides. Currently includes XMM-Newton and NuSATR.

Software

A lot of the software we use is written in Julia. The Julia section contains notes about Julia, benefits of the language, and how to get started.

Docker is a tool that packages an application and all its dependencies into a container, making it easy to run consistently on any computer system.
