S.U.N. Studio 1.1
S.U.N. Studio 1.1: the program now tells you when a new version is out. Free to use, not for resale.
Download: SUN_Studio_1.1_Windows.zip below (135 MB) · Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit · 8 GB of memory or more recommended
What's new
- Check for updates. About once a day, while the program is open, it asks the S.U.N. Studio download page which version is the newest. When a newer one is out, a bar above the window says so, with Download page…, What's new…, Skip this version and Later. Nothing is downloaded or installed by itself, and nothing about you or your files is sent. Help / Features has Check for updates… and the box that turns the daily check off.
- The CME banner gives an alert's session times as the CME check window does (the 1.0.1 fix).
- The CME and update bars keep their colours when you change the theme.
Updating from 1.0 or 1.0.1
Unzip 1.1 into a new folder and run S.U.N. Studio.exe from there. Your settings, profiles, projects and the CME watch list are kept: they live in your own user folder, not in the program's. From 1.1 on, the program tells you about the next version itself.
Installing
- Unzip the whole zip into a folder of its own, for example Documents. Don't run it from inside the zip.
- Double-click S.U.N. Studio.exe in the S.U.N. Studio folder. Python and every library are inside; nothing else to install.
- If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. The program is new and not signed by a paid certificate.
"Read me first.txt" in the folder has the first steps, and https://sunstudioapp.com has a step-by-step guide.

S.U.N. Studio 1.0.1
S.U.N. Studio 1.0.1: a fix to the CME check. Free to use, not for resale.
Download: SUN_Studio_1.0.1_Windows.zip below (135 MB) · Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit · 8 GB of memory or more recommended
What's fixed
- The CME check's alerts give their session's times as they are now. When a session is noted again with another UTC offset (after North up, say), its times change; its alerts kept the times they were raised with, so they could read an hour off beside the session list. An alert whose CME no longer falls inside the session's new times now says so.

- Grades them: sharpening, a solar tone curve from Auto stretch (positive or inverted), prominences and the limb, colour palettes
