Outdated version Arduino

Please tell me why the packages use such an old version of arduino as 1.0.6 (released 26 Mar 2021), whereas the latest version is 2.0.2 (released 23 Dec 2021)?

Should be fixed in the latest version of the development platform that uses Arduino core v2.0.2.
