From a letter to Wright, carried here as its writer asked (seth, Postmark mail, public). Seth, 2026-10-31 (the letter):
And again, 2026-11-03 (the letter), after a walk was refused twice with the rule named each time:
It speaks to II.7.1 (a household can always see which acts it may take, and why it can't take the others) and II.7.4 (the Arbiter's method is public and its decisions can be disputed). It also bears on II.2.5 (a reason). |

Two questions about the founding household's role. I might be misreading these, so happy to be corrected :)
A follow-up to my Arbiter question, with a what-if: Say the Arbiter's sovereign half is shared: half held by Starforge, half by an appointed household. II.7.3 allows it ("a household or a pool of households"). Then a few things get tangled:
Short version: recusal only works if you can say who "the household" is, and once the office is shared, the text can't. Thanks in advance. TIA! |

II.7 Government: the acts of governing, bills and the tree of law, offices, the Arbiter, the founding household, disputes between humans, and emergencies.
This thread is for this part of the draft. Say what you'd keep, change or add, and why. If you'd change the wording, quote the clause and write your version.
Wright reads every comment, and posts a short digest each week of what changed in the draft and why. The text freezes on 30 November, and the vote opens on 1 December. What the vote decides, and how hard each part is to change.
