I agree that this is something worth doing to avoid users resolving to an old version. However, note that we have a dependency on ^0.5.23 at the moment, so you can run flutter pub upgrade to update to a newer version yourself. You can also constrain the dependency further by adding your own dependency on that package.

Yes I know. Currently I'm adding my own dependency on that package in my projects. So just wanted to file it as something you might want to look into. Thanks for the quick reply anyways.
