I can't repro this. #33091 and the Velopack fix was for macOS only - Windows / Linux were already working fine. Given you are on Windows, it would not affect you. Since the game appears to really just be struggling to do... much of anything at all, in your YT video, I'd say this is probably more consequential of something else happening on/with your system. I'm degrading this to a discussion. |

Tested on the laptop. So my laptop is Honor MagicBook X14 (2024) FRI-H56. It has subtle lag, during install, but, I assume, since it uses NVMe SSD, it doesn't really feel, because the update installs in 2 seconds. Yet so, I'll still add the video soon and share the specs of it right now: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS |

Maybe for now it's better to just close it. Past 2 weeks I've upgraded to Ryzen 9 and don't see this issue anymore |

Bug description
This is the continuation of: #33195. Currently, I have finally recorded this issue and ready to show it.
According to Joehuu, the issue might've been related to #33091, but according to velopack/velopack#639, it should've been fixed for 2 months already. So I have no clue what is causing this issue.
Specs of my PC:
CPU: Intel Core i5-8400F
GPU: NVIDA GeFore RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GDDR6X Mircron memory, Manufactuared by ASUS under TUF Gaming series
RAM: 2x DDR4 1333MHz 16GB Kingston HyperX with Micron memory
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B360M-A
BIOS: AMIBIOS ver. 3202
SSD and HDD (on which lazer is installed, currently): SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB (for osu in LocalAppData folder) and Western Digital WD20EZRZ-00Z5HB0 2TB (for client.realm and files in dedicaded Games folder)
Windows 10 22H2 (OS build 19045.5965)
Please, I'm genuinely asking to fix this problem, since I'm suffering from it, for a year, already. I hope I gave more than enough information, but since I also got another PC, I'll try right now to see does it have the same problem and post a comment under this post.

Please, turn the subtitles on. They will help you understand what's actually happening. Yet so, for someone, who doesn't wanna look at the video, I'll try to explain it here:
TL;DR: Whenever game connects to the internet and finds a new update, downloading it degrades perfomance alot, leading to unplayable states.
So there was released a new tachyon build, which helped me in recording this bug. First of all, I turned of the internet and played a couple of maps (Silence by Gourski x Himmes; Vivid by FAIRY FORE; The Pretender by Infected Mushroom). They all ran quite well, as you can see by the graph at the bottom right.
Then, I got the internet connection back and opened lazer again. As you can see, FPS dropped alot, causing huge amount of stutters and the game is barely usable, while the update is downloading. I haven't managed to play any map at that moment, but, after restart, it went back to the initial normal state, where it isn't stuttering.
On that moment, I played Usatei 2011 by COOL&CREATE normally.
