After some trial and error trying to configure make check to work on my Ubuntu 22.04 LTS vm, I wrote down the extra steps I needed to take. This will hopefully help with the onboarding process of new devs. These extra steps were tried and confirmed working on @Andreea-Lupu 's xUbuntu 22.04 vm.
