I would like to fold this into #2086 if you're OK with this. I can either do a stellar cut and paste job, or if you want you could rebase this against that PR and send me a PR and I'll merge it in so you retain credit. I've split yumrepo into a type/provider so I want to make sure this gets included with that work.
