Release new version

May I ask you to release new updated API package? It wasn't updated since Aug 2024. I saw a lot of changes, that are required for our project.

Yes, I am aware, and I am also eager to get a release out. I have been really busy, but things are starting to clear up so I will do my best to get this out soon.

Before releasing I need to get a fix for #283, which probably is to merge #284. Since I am the new primary maintainer and this will be my first release, I also need to figure out how to properly make a release. Stay tuned!
