This is a complement to #11317 but for R environment;
This is to test that 1.6 correctly works with latest version of R package versions.
R 4.4.2 is now used (and so should be installed locally by any dev - https://github.com/r-lib/rig is useful for that.)
I'll update the doc too on what to do.
