Cursor always jumping to next line after execution

Problem: as soon as I execute the current lin of code using ctrl+enter, the cursor automatically jumps to the next line.

Aim: allow for an option, e.g. using alt+enter, that the cursor does not move, i.e. remains at the same location it currently is, when executing the current line.

Of course, I tried several different user keybinding, but I somehow did not get it to work. ANY hint on how to achieve such behavior is much appreciated!

This is in Positron, correct?

Positron does now have workbench.action.positronConsole.executeCodeWithoutAdvancing so we could set up the Quarto extension to support that.

Yes exactly, it is in Positron. I added it to my original post.

In my opinion, this would be a very useful feature for programming. If I can help out testing anything I am willing to do so!
