Description
I don't know if this is really a bug or my ignorance. But...
I use W11 desktop with VS code V 1.104.3
I'm new to MicroPython development and want to use VS code to write my code.
I installed this "Raspberry Pi Pico Visual Studio Code extension" V 0.18.1.
I created a new MicroPython Project and added some code to blink a led. So far so good. (Code runs with the Thonny IDE). I also hooked up my Pico board, it's connected to COM10 (also useable/visible in Thonny IDE V4.1.7).
I get the message "No COM device found". The extention will not connect to the REPL environment of my Pico board.
In settings of the extention I unchecked the option "MicroPico autoconnect" and I added "COM10" to the setting "Manual Com Device". But still the extention will not connect to the pico board. So it will not run my code on the MicroPython environment of the Pico board. When I press run the message says "Please connect to the Pico first"
When I manually open a "Serial Monitor" window and connect it to COM10 (in the same VS code session) i do see my pico board and can use it.
Any thoughts? Am I doing something wrong here?
Just to add some more info, when I create a new C/C++ project (or open a C/C++ example) it works fine. But I want to use the MicroPython environment for now.
